Astro Insights: Dance of the Cosmos & Soul Growth

Here we are in the year of 2025! A numerology 9 year of endings for us collectively and a final chapter in things we started in 2017, now coming to an end.

The energy for 2025 starts out with a bang, as the highlights and insights will explore in greater detail below. Some of the core lessons we will experience, on an individual and collective level, center around what it means to be a part of humanity, the role fear and untamed aggression play in our lives, what constitutes truth, and how authenticity and transparency is showing up on the world stage as well as in your personal world.

From an intuitive and astrological perspective, I will share with you my understanding that this year could focus on how well we deal with the energistic properties of revelations and change—both perceived and real! It would be good guidance to suggest that personal sovereignty and leading from a balanced solar plexus will aid you greatly throughout this year. I encourage you as a psychic medium but also as a fellow human being to not allow fabricated or manufactured fear to master you—always ensure that you don’t feed the fears as the apt picture suggests above. The energy will move fast this year, and July-November is likely to act like a quickening with Uranus in Gemini.

Always have your ideals ever before you—whatever changes or transformation you undergo as a soul being, seek integration and not stagnation. Allow all others to be on their own track and anchor your truth in the knowledge that our human family needs your gifts, voice, talent, and energy.

In this issue, you will find insights on three major astrological occurrences this month: the opposition between Mars and Pluto coming exact on January 3rd, the full moon in Cancer on January 13th, and how the upcoming shift of the North Nodal Axis will impact us collectively.

Mars in Opposition to Pluto

As we covered in last edition, the patterns of astrology can sometimes follow a triple unfoldment: this is an aspect that can unfold in the first phase as a foundational aspect (think planting a seed), and then as a second phase of reflection and growth (the first petals can be seen), and then finally in the third phase, the fruits of that unfoldment. In all cases, it is an opportunity to examine a pattern or energy trend with a specific focus. 

We have another 3-part unfoldment from the cosmos, this time between Mars and Pluto in opposition. Mars is at 1 degree of Leo and Pluto is at 1 degree of Aquarius. Fire and air oppose one another! It becomes exact on January 3, 2025 and will be felt up until May.

Learning: oppositions are just that—the planets oppose one another from across the zodiac and the angle often feels daunting and strong. It means the angle (remember, astrology is a mathematical language) that the planets are making with each other totals at 180 degrees (each window on the astrology wheel is 60 degrees).

Why will this be felt up until May and where is the 3-part unfoldment?

Precisely with this questions lies the task of understanding how this will play at for you privately and for us collectively. We had the first opposition in early November 2024—where were you in early November 2024 and what did your inner world feel like? The next unfoldment is of course now and the last will be in April 2025 (we will feel it until May 2025).

What does an opposition between Mars and Pluto feel like?

Imagine the primal force of life, budding with might, strength and will power (Mars with his ruling planet of Aries) meeting up against Pluto, the transformer, the planet of death and transformation, and the task of transmuting the energy or having it perish!

This IS a force to reckon with, but it does have a much higher expression that is divine in nature. How can your personal will and divine little “i am” express itself so that divine consciousness can be expressed? This aspect in someone’s natal chart gives incredible power of focus, strength, and discipline. Allow those attributes to come into your life with this transit.

However you feel guided to harness this energy, know that there could be loud and combustible energy around you up until May. Stay in the higher vibration of this aspect & remove yourself as much as possible from those who are expressing excessive brute force.  And above all, think before you react with this energy in the cosmos!

One final important note I would like to make about this aspect is that Mars is in retrograde until February 24, 2025. The retrograde energies are always a bit tricky, but with Mars it is tricky indeed. This planet likes to go, go, go and always in a straightforward and clear path—the retrograde energy is likely to add a dynamic of frustration to this opposition so: stop, think, and don’t react!

Full Moon on January 13th: Cancer

Full moons always represent a peak, culmination, illumination, ending, or something that is revealed to you that was previously unknown or out of reach for your conscious mind. This full moon has so much water energy connected to it, that we could feel both deeply emotional and compassionate. Cancer always seeks the emotional security it craves. If you feel the need to release emotional energy, find a healthy way to do so!

The Power of Understanding that everyone is living within their own Reality

I would like to add some additional thoughts here on the energy of 2025 as we begin a new calendar year.

Our year is going to feel quick, a bit hot around the neck, and certainly with many opportunities for soul growth—even if uncomfortable at times.

I believe it is important to remember in such shifts that we are all experiencing our own reality. Even within families (hello full moon on the 13th) people can experience the reality so differently even when under the same roof.

Your state of being will definitely dictate your reality this year—we are likely to see great revelations and some of us will do better with handling the truth than others.

My understanding is that your attunement this year to going inward and maintaining a strong equilibrium will be your greatest wealth. As many great native American Indians have said “may the stillness make you stronger.”

As we see the shift of the nodal axis go into Pisces North Node, Virgo South Node, we are given the opportunity to connect to Mother Earth in a deeper way—and this could help us integrate the attributes of the oneness of spirituality and the energy of our beautiful planet. The earth elements are low in 2025 so I hope this will help us to stay grounded as we integrate the shadow into the gold!
